Saltire Scholar Internship

Entrepreneurial Scotland's Saltire Scholar Programme invests in Scotland's human potential to find, fuel and spark the next generation of Scotland's business leaders. My First Week as a Saltire Scholar My name is Ellen and I study Journalism, Creative Writing and English at Strathclyde University. I’m interning with Renfrewshire Council as an Additional Support Needs Project Support Officer. I honestly can’t believe that I’m writing this post. I was so sure I’d missed out on getting an internship this year: I even received an email from Saltire informing me that the candidate pool was closed and I’d been unsuccessful. I had one more interview left, but I kn

I’ve also helped Kirsty complete some of her work and made good progress into my own projects with the communications team With the th

Adapting to a working environment | Entrepreneurial Scotland

Hi everyone, and welcome back to my blog! This week has been good. I’ve been doing lots of social media work with the communications team, which I’ve really been enjoying. It’s been so interesting, and I’ve picked up lots of good tips that I can use in my blog. I’ve also been working on a report for a different area of the company and I’m really pleased with how that’s coming along. It’s very rewarding to see it all coming together. Reflections on my internship and what’s next for me. Hi everyone, and welcome back to my blog! I’m very sad to say that my time at Renfrewshire Council has come to an end. These past ten weeks have been brilliant and I couldn’t have asked for a better internship. Everyone that I’ve worked with has been lovely and there’s not been one person I’ve met who hasn’t inspired or helped me to grow in some way. Kirsty and I received some beautiful flowers from the team as a thank you, which was so kind
